The novel begins when an unknown figure hides behind an image of Buddha in a lawyer's office. The figure stabs the lawyer, and snatches some papers relating to hidden treasure. Having been startled the papers are hidden within the Buddha. The protagonist Roy Rushworth is on the case of this mysterious treasure. A tale that begins in India and crosses three continents.Written by Lady Chitty. Helen Mary Chitty was married to a high court judge in Calcutta, Sir Charles William Chitty.Issued as a part of Jenkins' 7/6 novels, as noted to the publisher's adverts.
