First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 8vo, 189 pp. Bound in white wraps, "? Esoteric, Lander" written in blue pen to blank spine. Good or a bit better, with some chipping to wraps at corners and spine, wraps generally a bit worn. Ostensibly the record of Lander's break from his Gurdjieff-inspired spiritual group, the book is also a paranoid theory of reality with dozens of interesting minimal illustrations and diagram created or found by Landers. The narrative begins with Lander's obsession with a fellow member of his group named Hilda, but quickly escalates into visions of himself as the antichrist, strange new esoteric principles revealed or discovered, persecution at the hands of his fellow Gurdjieffians, world conspiracies around Christ and Mary, alchemy, and more. OCLC locates no holdings, and there is no online record of this book. Of interest for collections on American spiritual movements, counterculture, or madness.
