Roger Charles Louis Guillemin (1924-2024) was a French-American neuroscientist who received the National Medal of Science in 1976, and the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1977 for his work on neurohormones. On the title page, nicely signed by author Douglas Lappi and inscribed to Guillemin, widely considered the 'father of neuroendocrinology' and winner of the Nobel prize for medicine.
