First published in 1800. Very scarce work. Bound in half calf with cloth boards. 'Saint Anne's Hill' is a poem written by the Rev. Peter Cunningham, a curate who was born and lived in Chertsey, known for his publication of several political poems. This particular poem was written as a tribute to whig politician Charles James Fox, dedicated to him on his birthday.'Saint Anne's Hill' refers to Fox's grand mansion located in Chertsey, and resulted in Cunninghams increased popularity, leading to the second and third edition of the work being published after his death. Illustrated with five plates, including a frontispiece of St. Anne's Hill. Collated, complete.With a note loosely inserted from Harry Robertson. Bound in half calf with cloth boards. Externally, sound, with rubbing to the leather, heavier to the spine. Front board is detached after frontispiece. Endpapers have been renewed, blanks retained. Internally, firmly bound after frontispiece. Pages are generally bright, with light scattered spotting. Good Only. book.
