Loosely inserted are three beautiful plates, two hand coloured. The plates are from drawings by D M Mackenie and engraved by John Smith. Queen Victoria asked Sir Thomas Dick Lauder to write the official history of her visit to Scotland. In a full cloth binding. Rebacked with original boards preserved. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Bumping to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound.
