Singer was one of few openly lesbian women writing Lesbian Pulp novels in the 1960s. She rewrote most of her novels in 1989 to give her characters happier endings. She was an activist and attended the Stonewall Riots in 1969. In one interview, she spoke about the changes in culture she notices in her life: "It had the atmosphere of being in a cheery girls' locker room. I love seeing how things progressed for girls today and that you don't have to experience the threat of being arrested or beat up. People should be free." Illustrated cover features two images of the same woman, one in cocktail attire, and the other resting on a bed. In very good condition.
