TIMERMANS, (Torino 1824-1873), di origine fiamminga, si dedicò per sette anni ai poveri di Torino come medico municipale, poi docente di Patologia Speciale Medica ; collaborò con il positivista Jacob Moleschott ai tentativi per riformare le dottrine e gli insegnamenti impartiti nella Facoltà. Col 1864 costituì l'Istituto Clinico Medico, concepito con criteri del tutto nuovi, fornito di un laboratorio di ricerca e di un ambulatorio, di aulette per lezioni e seminari,; sostenne il giovane e poi grande innovatore Giulio Bizzozero. Dal resoconto economica in fine risulta che lo scultore fu [Odoardo] TABACCHI e che il prezzo del monum. fu di L. 6000. .Rara plaquette, censita in 4 bibl.
