Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Scarce book of photography dealing with the aftermath of the 2008 fire that destroyed 90% of the collections of Deyrolle, the famous Paris shop of taxidermy and other curiosities. There are many photographs of partially burned displays, specimens and the like, plus a large section of the store's patrons posing with displays in the burnt store. The book has sound hinges and does not lean. Pages are clean with no marks or creases, wrinkles or stains. There are a few very faint smudges on the book's outer covers. None of the cover corners are bumped and there is no rub wear to extremities. The book comes with a sturdy, matching slipcase which doesn't show any wear except slight soiling.
