Demi-cuir. Condition: Très bon. Ouvrage publié par la Société d'Histoire diplomatique par Robert Lavollée. Paris, Plon-Nourrit et Cie, 1914. Très bon exemplaire au format petit in-4°, IX-356 p., présenté dans une excellente reliure demi-chagrin aubergine, dos à 5 nerfs, couvertures conservées. Les mémoires de messire Louis Favreau, "chevalier, seigneur châtelain de Doussay, de Chizay et de Vauroux" forment le manuscrit 6292 des Nouvelles Acquisitions Françaises de la Bibliothèque Nationale. Ils s'étendent de l'année 1614 à l'année 1671. Robert Lavollée publie ici les années concernant le règne de Louis XIII, c'est à dire la période de 1614 à 1643. L'auteur, né en 1598, est chevau-léger de Marie de Médicis et écuyer de la Marquise de Guercheville, qu'il suit toutes deux jusqu'en 1620. Il est ensuite aux chevau-légers du Roi, puis poursuit sa carrière militaire quelques années encore, jusqu'en 1636. La reliure est en excellent état de faraîcheur ainsi que l'intérieur de l'ouvrage. La couverture papier ainsi que la dernière page comportent une petite réparation.
