This book is undated but research points towards the 1930's. - Title page states: THE HOLY BIBLE - CONTAINING THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUES: AND WITH THE FORMER TRANSLATIONS DILIGENTLY COMPARED AND REVISED, BY HIS MAJESTY'S SPECIAL COMMAND. - APPOINTED TO BE READ IN CHURCHES. - CONDITION & DESCRIPTION: The original dustjacket accompanies this book. Beautiful wraparound illustration has retained its vibrancy. Repairs to the extremities, mainly spine top and bottom and corner folds with colour like paper [repairs are on the rear of the dustjacket]. Now housed in a removable archival sleeve. - Black cloth with gold/gilt lettering to the spine. Lightening [fading] to the bottom edge and a little fraying to the bottom of the spine cloth, otherwise a very nice condition. The Old Testament completes at page 856 in the book, and the new Testament completes in a much quicker manner at page 261. Combined pages is 1117. Apart from the first few pages at the front and the last few pages at the rear, being lightly browned, the rest of the pages are clean and tightly bound.
