Pradels was a French poet, novelist, and vaudevillist whose work often espouses the chauvinist and revanchist thinking that was prevalent in France following the Franco-Prussian War. In a quarter cloth binding over pattern boards. Externally, sound. Lightly rubbed to the boards, with a little discolouration towards the fore edge. A little rubbed to the spine, particularly at the head and tail. Rubbed to the joints, with a two-inch crack to the front joint at the tail of the spine.
