Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Printed by I. Thomas and E. T. Andrews, Faust s Statue, No. 45, Newbury Street, Boston, 1795. Fair quality book considering its age. 6-13/16" x 4", 344 numbered pages. The front board is detached. The book is square, with all the edges rubbed and worn; 1/2" of the both the head and heel of the spine are missing, with the next inch of the spine at the head loose (see photo). The rear board is firmly attached and not at all wobbly; rear hinges is strong and not damaged. All pages are firmly bound--there are no loose and, as far as I can tell, no missing pages. The paper is moderately toned, a bit stiff but still flexible. Except for two early names inked on the front paste down ("Shadrack" is the only name I can make out), the interior is free of writing, stray marks and paper damage of any type--the text block is in very good condition; many/most pages have water staining (see photo of title page) but the text is still quite readable. This is only volume #1 of a two volume set.
