The volume contains both color and black-and-white-images, diagrams, charts, formulas and etc. The book is clean and bright internally and externally and is without marks, underlining, and marginalia. The boards are covered with brick red cloth and have gilt lettering on the spine. The dust jacket is without rips or tears but shows some sunning at the spine. There is also some light toning to the edges. The copyright page has the "First published in 1972 by the Butterworth Group" this volume appears to be a First Thus as the First American edition of this publication. There are no indications of other printings.
