Ellen Leiber war in der 20er und 30er Jahren des vergangenen Jahhrhunderts als Reisende und Vertreterin des Elektrischen Universal-Koch-und-Back-Automaten ELEKTRO-OEKONOM unterwegs, den sie in Vorträgen an den Mann bzw. an die Frau zu bringen suchte. Nebenbei schrieb sie Romane und Gedichte, u.a. auch Werbegedichte für dieses Gerät, die sie bei ihren Werbeveranstaltungen zum Besten gab. Wahrscheinlich erhielt sie aus dem Kreis der Zuhörer die Ermunterung, auch ihre anderen Gedichte zu veröffentlichen. So entstand dieses Büchlein, das neben zwei Werbegedichten 18 weitere Gedichte enthält, die persönlichen Erlebnissen und Betrachtungen der Autorin gewidmet sind. Ihre Sprache ist einfach, anspruchslos die Form, so dass jeder Zuhörer und bes. jede Zuhörerin sie gut nachvollziehen konnte. Die eingeklebten Bilder entstammen einem ELEKTRO-OEKONOM-Anleitungs- und Rezeptbuch aus der Badischen Landesbibliothek in Karlsruhe. ,ca. 1930 32 S., 12,5x20 cm, broschürt.
