Brauner Original-Lederband (etwas berieben und gering gelockert) mit reicher Rücken- und Deckelvergoldung sowie Marmorpapiervorsätzen und Goldschnitt. Stammbuch von Gottlob August Leißnig, Schüler in Bautzen und Student an der Universität Leipzig. Enthält 165 handschriftliche Eintragungen, zumeist aus seiner Schul- und Studienzeit von 1786 bis 1792, aber auch einige spätere, welche bis 1812 datiert sind. Die Einträge vor allem aus Bautzen (50) und Leipzig (52), aber auch aus Hoyerswerda (12), Dresden (7), Kroppen (9), Spremberg (3), Königsbrück (4), Grimma (1), Gotha (5), Krakau (1) etc. Mit einem Notenblatt, einer Porträtsilhouette, einer aquarellierten Federzeichnung als Bordüre und drei lavierten Federzeichnungen. Vgl. Neues lausitzisches Magazin, Jahrgang 1834, Seite 124. - Gottlob August Leißnig, in Hoyerswerda geboren, besuchte ab 1780 das Gymnasium in Bautzen. Der dortige Rektor Christoph Jeremias Rost war sein Lehrer und Förderer. Von 1786 bis 1792 studierte Leißnig an der Leipziger Universität. Danach war er Hauslehrer des Kammerherrn von Gablenz auf Kroppen und ab 1804 Prediger zu Kroppen. - Die Einträge stammen vornehmlich aus der Schul- und Studienzeit des Albumeigners, darunter finden sich zahlreiche namhafte Persönlichkeiten, so unter anderem: I.) Christian Jeremias Rost (1718-1790), Philologe und Pädagoge, Rektor des Bautzener Gymnasiums. - II.) Johann Gottlieb Cober (1733-1797), Konrektor des Bautzener Gymnasiums. - III.) Friedrich August Carus (1770-1807), Psychologe und Philosoph. - IV.) Johann Georg Rosenmüller (1736-1815), protestantischer Theologe, Ordinarius an der Universität Leipzig und Präsident des Oberkonsistoriums in Leipzig. - V.) Johann Gottfried Kneschke (1766-1825), Pädagoge in Zittau. - VI.) Georg Friedrich Baumgärtel (1760-1840), Pädagoge in Leipzig. - VII.) Carl Ludwig Gottlob Leißner (1782-1860), Apotheker, sein Vater war Inhaber der Leipziger Adler-Apotheke. - VIII.) Carl Christian Seltenreich (1765-1836), Theologe, zuletzt Superintendent und Pastor an der Kreuzkirche in Dresden. - IX.) Christian Friedrich von Gregory (1757-1834), Kaufmann und Bankier, kurfürstlich sächsischer Hofkammerrat. - X.) Christian Siegfried Krüger (1741-1804), Diakon in Spremberg. - XI.)
