Besides the alphabetical directory, the work includes a brief history of Sacramento, as well as information on the state, county and city offices, local institutions, as well as post offices and stage routes. With a few pencil annotations by an early resident of Sacramento about the people and places mentioned in the text. Rare, with only five examples cited by OCLC, with only one being outside of California. Rocq 6528. Not in Cowan.
