Title: Lexicon Hebraic (Biblical Hebrew Dictionary / Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon) Publication Details: Leipzig: Sumptibus Librariae Hahnianae, 1850. Format: Hardcover. Condition: Good. Strong binding. Some damage to the upper spine and wear to the front board. Text block clear and fully legible. Complete. 453 pages. Toning and foxing throughout consistent with a mid-nineteenth century publication. Description: A mid-nineteenth century Biblical Hebrew lexicon edited by E. F. Leopold and published in Leipzig in 1850. Produced during the great period of German Oriental and philological scholarship, the work served as an important reference tool for the study of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and for students of Biblical Hebrew and Semitic languages. Lexicons of this type formed an essential part of theological and linguistic study in European universities and seminaries throughout the nineteenth century. The volume provides lexical entries for Hebrew words appearing in the Old Testament, with philological notes and references to scriptural usage, reflecting the rigorous academic traditions of German biblical scholarship. This example remains complete at 453 pages, with a strong binding and a clear text block. The book shows expected age-related toning and foxing, together with wear to the front board and some damage to the upper spine. Despite these signs of age, it remains a solid and complete working copy of a nineteenth-century Hebrew reference work, suitable for scholars, collectors of theological literature, or libraries with an interest in biblical philology.…
