Cierto número de filósofos del arte, el más famoso Nelson Goodman, nos han acostumbrado a ver como ridícula ?gracias al carácter ridículo con que la han adornado? la idea de que se pueda atribuir un rol legítimo a las sensaciones en el análisis de la respuesta estética. żPara qué sirve una mera sensación, aunque sea agradable, en el ámbito del arte?, żqué nos dice, de qué nos da testimonio?, żnos informa de alguna cuestión de carácter artístico?, żarroja luz sobre alguna relación artística de ideas? Si la respuesta es no, entonces arrojémosla, si no a las llamas, sí al cubo de la basura de la teoría del gusto. Esta es el juicio à la Goodman dominante. Pero no es algo que yo comparta por completo, de ahí mi interés por los escalofríos musicales.
