While the movie clips explore Judy and Mickey barn raisers, Tracy and Hepburn repartee, and Esther Williams swimming extravaganzas, the author dives into three of his own special interests. He explores modern Disney films, a series of emotion-eliciting films, and more sports films, all relevant in some way to his life. (They include Frozen, My Best Friend's Wedding, and Trouble with the Curve.) The unique feature of this book is quoting Scripture far more frequently in confirmation of the films' messages, making it possible for the readers not to need their Bibles by their side. By doing so, LeVitre covers fewer films than previously ('only' thirty), but the intention is that the reviews will be more comprehensive and more potent, demonstrating and glorifying God's power 'behind the curtain.'
