Condition: Fine. First Edition. First Edition. Broadside, folded once to make 4 pages. One of only 400 copies. Cover and reverse duplicate a broadside by C.B. Lines, regarding "easterners" settling the west. Colophon reads as follows: "We sometimes tend to forget that all the original Westerners were once Easterners. They brough…t to their new home not only their hopes for the future but also the conflicts that had divided them in the past. Without wishing to reopen old wounds, we do not think it amiss to remind New Englanders of the part their ancestors played in the settlement of Kansas and its establishment as a free state. One episode in the history is recounted in this circular letter, of which four hundred copies are reprinted for friends of the Yale Collection of Western Americna at Christmas, 1979.". Photocopied Broadside (illustrator).
