Condition: Fair. 1952. First Edition. 266 pages. No dust jacket. Red paper covered boards. Clean pages with light tanning and foxing throughout, heavy to endpapers. Tightly bound with faint thumb-marking throughout. Pencil inscription to front pastedown and endpaper. Boards have notable edgewear with corner crushing and heavy marking to boards. Notable tanning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has backward lean.

Wear marks overall.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Signed by the author on the front end page and includes a very interesting typewritten and signed letter from the author detailing a snippet of his life at the time. The dust jacket is very shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with creasing and some closed tears particularly along the top edge. It remains whole and intact despite this. The boards are rubbed but strong and sturdy. Internally, there is some slight wear to the edges of the pages but they remain otherwise neat and complete.
