Binding with some wear, chipping to head and foot of spine, likely restored, some minor toning internally, overall a fresh copy, red marbled endpapers. Bookplates of Henry Seymour Esq. and the collector Kenneth Garth Huston (M.D.), with a card with his bibliographical notes laid-in. Charleton was President of the Royal Society from 1689--1691. The present work is based on his 1659 Natural History of Nutrition.
