Czech says "Wolverton details his lion hunting episodes through the Ogaden and near the Webbi Shabeyli, when not confronting recalcitrant bearers.… He also hunted oryx, kudu, gazelle and crocodile. The illustrations by Arthur Paget are particularly vivid.".
