Moderate wear to cloth margins, most notably at spine ends, spine quite toned, textblock heavily foxed, contemporary bookseller ticket to front pastedown and ownership signature to front free endpaper, else a Good to Very Good, clean and sound copy.

Condition: Very good minus copy. 1894 London, 108pp, illus, color fold-out map. Hunting in Somalia for lion, oryx, Soemmerring's gazelle, zebra, crocodile and lesser kudu and gerenuk. Czech says "Wolverton details his lion hunting episodes through the Ogaden and near the Webbi Shabeyli, when not confronting recalcitrant bearers. He also hunted oryx, kudu, gazelle and crocodile. The illustrations by Arthur Paget are particularly vivid.".

1st Edn,. 108 pages, illustrations, some foxing to large folding map, spotting to blank end papers, with ownership name to front paste down "G.D.Chapman - 97", Rowland Ward sticker to corner, very occasional pencil underlining and margin notes to text. Original tan cloth, gilt title and lion vignette to upper board, professional neat repair to base of spine. Wolverton also hunted oryx, kudu, gazelle and crocodile, wolf and lion. Czech 307.

Original tan cloth, with gilt title and lion vignette to the upper cover, the cloth clean and not darkened as often found. Wolverton also hunted oryx, kudu, gazelle and crocodile, wolf and lion.
