Fore edge is decorated almost Venitian-like designs. The bottom front corner is frayed. The other corners are sharp. The end papers are clean except for a pencil price on a secondary front end paper. This book is square and tight. The interior hinges are taped in such a way that it is hard to know if this was done as manufactured or these were added later. There are beautiful illustrations with 12 steel-engraved illustrations and over 500 illustrations.

The spine edges and corners are worn, with the corners quite rubbed through and au very small chips to the leather at the edges of the spine some rubbing and scuffing to the covers, but overall the set is nicely preserved. The pages are clean and tightly bound. Profusely illustrated throughout. Because of size and weight, no international shipping.

M. Cohan Colonial Theatre." Replete with engravings in both volumes. Volume one is INSCRIBED by George M. Cohan. Scarce thus.
