In pen, different handwriting, someone has written, see page 522. On page 522, part of the acknowledgements, is printed "the editor extends special thanks to John Melville Jennings . . . whose broad knowledge and love of Virginia history and architecture have been an inspiration." No date on title page, copyright 1986. Glossy blue DJ in good condition, some light scuffing on covers, edges of inside flaps toned, spine faded to light blue. Boards with dark blue spine, light blue cloth, gold lettering on spine. Book is in very good condition, pages are clean and unmarked, binding is tight and strong. Black and white photographs throughout. From the personal collection of John Melville Jennings, former director of the Virginia Historical Society.
