The story of the Compton Comedy Company which Sir Compton MacKenzie was born into and which he left to gain fame as an author. This copy came from the library of his widow and includes material loosely inserted which predates his death, in particular a copy, unsigned, three page mainly typed letter dated 5th March 1939 by him to M. Willson-Disher objecting to inaccuracies concerning his grandfather in an article written by the latter about the Lyceum Theatre. An excellent association copy.
