Couverture rigide. Condition: Très bon. Pas de jaquette. Edition originale. In-8 in original black cloth, gilt lettering to spine. First printing of 3 000 copies. A cornerstone title of the early Arkham House catalogue, assembled by August Derleth from fragments and notes left by H. P. Lovecraft. Includes the classic Arkham House publication list on verso. Condition: Good to Very Good (no dust jacket). Cloth clean with minor surface spotting to upper board; spine gilt slightly dulled as usual. Solid binding, clean interior, no ownership marks. Small vintage bookseller pencil note on front endpaper. A respectable, tight copy of this important Arkham House first edition.
