Tightly bound with faint thumb-marking throughout. Stamps to front endpaper. Red pencil drawings to front pastedown. Boards have mild edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking and foxing to boards. Moderate tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has forward lean.

    Condition: Fair. 1939. First Published. 388 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Black and white photographic plates. Light foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Hinges are moderately cracked, exposing netting and causing boards to be loose. Binding otherwise remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with noticeable splitting, loss of cloth and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
