Catalogo della mostra di opere di Alberto Falchetti svoltasi alla Galleria Bernardo Celentano di Milano.ÂLa galleria era diretta daÂPasquale Lubrano Celentano, figlio di una sorella di Bernardo, quindi suo nipote, direttore della Galleria chiamata appunto con il nome del pittore nato a Napoli nel 1835 e morto a Roma nel 1863, esponente del verismo. NON sono presenti illustrazioni di opere di Alberto Falchetti. Il pittore nacque a Torino nel 1878. La passione per i paesaggiÂgli fece incontrareÂSegantini, di cui divenne amico. Segantini lo incoraggio' a lasciare la citta' per dipingere dal vero la natura. Su suo consiglio Falchetti nel 1899 si reco' in Val d'Ayas. Conobbe il pittore statunitense John Sargent, insieme col quale intraprese un viaggio in Egitto e in Palestina. Mori' nel 1951. ITA.
