Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Tight binding. No chips, tears to pages. One page has a small amount of paper loss at the bottom and a couple are lightly dog-earred. Previous owners' names on page preceding the title page. Glued on to the front paste-down endpaper is what looks like a page from another book - perhaps a bible - with a full colour image of donkeys drinking at a waterfall in a valley and a verse that reads "He sendeth the springs in to the valleys, Which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field." Green, bevelled boards tih gilt letterin on front and spine. Some wear and a bit of fraying to cloth on boards. Top edge of text block is gilt. Some light foxing on pages, but it is minimal.
