Decorative Leather. Condition: Good. First thus. Text in French. Octavo, 10 1/4" tall, illustrated title page + 18 engraved plate illustrations + viii + 279 pages with intertextual illustration throughout; gilt fore-edges, gilt titles and cover decoration on embossed leather. A good (minus) copy overall; exterior spine leather significantly chipped, fore-corners through to boards; hinges broken, covers loose; internal binding fairly solid and text paper light to moderately yellowed but with foxing to the margins throughout and more heavily on plate paper; illustration pages moderately yellowed; BUT several plate pages are loose along with an attached text page. This copy would require binding restoration and is priced accordingly. Note: overseas shipping is prohibitively expensive at present.
