L'ouvre temoigne de l'immense succes du langage pictural de Bosch au xvie siecle. Sa taille, la qualite de son execution et la creativite de son auteur lui conferent une place particuliere dans la vaste production des epigones du maitre. Le tableau, reste en mains privees jusqu'a ce jour, etait a peine connu et n'avait plus ete etudie ou examine depuis plusieurs decennies. C'est pourquoi, le Fonds du Patrimoine a confie au prof.
