Step (illustrator). Undated edition, green cloth boards with ownership label inside. Jacket is price clipped, with some handling wear including about half an inch of paper loss at the base of the spine.

Waxed green cloth. Gilt lettering to spine. Black lettering to upper board. Gilt stamped illustration to upper board. Decorative pastedowns and endpapers. Black and white frontispiece. Illustrated throughout with black and white plates and with monochrome text figures. No dustjacket. The bookplate of Edward Bazeley has been pasted onto the front endpaper. Corners of fore edges of boards curling inwards. 1 cm closed tear to head of spine. 1 cm closed tear along inside edge of spine. Head and foot of spine rubbed. Pastedowns and endpapers lightly foxed. Pages lightly tanned. Overall, the book is in a good condition.
