Cloth lightly soiled, bumped and rubbed through in several spots along the edges, front and rear gutters split, very good, lacking the dust jacket. The definitive pirate movie, with Fairbanks in one of his greatest roles as a swashbuckling nobleman turned pirate, and also a milestone in cinema history as the first movie filmed entirely in Technicolor. The photoplay is one of very few of the silent era issued with color illustrations from the film.

The covers are clean with almost no wear. The jacket has light soil, extensive chipping at spine ends and corners and along front flap fold with about 1 inch missing from top of spine, The contents are clean and complete in a good binding with some ink spots on bottom of text block. Dark green publishers cloth is faded and worn in multiple places and is also covered in light staining. Cover has detached from spine and boards can be seen on corners and spine. Writing from previous owner can be seen on the ffep as well as a sticker. Text is heavily age toned but easily legible with a deckled edge and pictures remain in good shape. Binding is loose and most noticeably on the inside of both front and back cover. All pages are intact but are loose.
