Side Stapled. Condition: Good. 10"x13.5" stapled wraps booklet containing multiple articles and statistics related to the 1918 influenza epidemic as well as the armistice. It has a strong vertical crease to center of booklet, light bumps with slight creasing to spine ends and corners, a light shallow stain to head of front cover and first page, some edgewear with a 1.5" tear to tail of front cover and first page, and small cross creases along the spine, otherwise a solid Good copy.

Also fine portrait of Speer as frontispiece. Robert Walter Speer (1855?1918) served as mayor of Denver for two terms, from 1904 to 1912, then was reelected in 1916, serving another two years as mayor before passing away in 1918 during the Spanish influenza pandemic. Speer is remembered primarily for implementing the City Beautiful plan that gave Denver an extensive system of parks, boulevards, neoclassical public buildings, and monuments that continue to shape the city today.
