Titled "Original Manuscript" to the title page, this is a typescript, and apparently features additional information to the single volume first edition published by OUP in 1974. Macpherson was at this time research historian at the University of Zambia in Lusaka, and Director of the Kenneth Kaunda Foundation. Here he provides the first comprehensive biography of the man to date. Rare - traced to 5 institutions including 2 on Copac (Oxford, NLS, Library of Congress, Murray State, Libris Stockholm).
