This is a charming, antique book of poetry - "There is No Place Like Home" selected and arranged by Lula MacWalker. 1891 1st edition; Nims and Knight; Troy, NY. Beautifully illustrated throughout, including color chromolithographs. The book is a collection of poems by a variety of authors; the poems are grouped by country (America, England, Scotland, France, Italy, and Germany). Poets include John Greenleaf Whittier, Thomas Moore, Oliver Goldsmith and others. Larger, oblong book that measures 7 7/8" tall x 15" wide. Condition: Soiling and staining to the covers; worn corners; shelf wear along the edges of the boards. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are mostly clean with an occasional smudge here and there, and a few random foxing spots found; there are 2 tiny tears at the outer edge of the title page. Overall the book is in Good condition.
