Author; artist; amateur conchologist; worldwide marine collection, Caribbean specialist. 1974 member Conchologists of America 1977, member Conchologists of America 1978, member Conchologists of America 1980, members Conchologists of America (Mr & Mrs). Gary lived in Pompano, Florida where he ran the Burry"s Shell Museum for years. An avid diver, he made many shell trips to the lower Caribbean, collecting shells and many cones. He was a great auctioneer, and was in demand by many of the shell clubs, as a judge, lecturer, and auctioneer. A member of the Broward Shell Club, he also was a fantastic artist, I have used the same shell as he used on the cover. He spent many years as my guest at my home, and I have many of his original painting on my walls. Died while solo scuba diving.
