Gilt to upper page edges with the fore-page edges left rough-cut. Light shelf-wear to extremities of boards and corners lightly bumped. Both volumes have some spot-marking to surfaces. Previously owned by Air Chief Marshal Sir Henry Robert Moore Brooke-Popham, (1878-1953) with his book-plates to the front pastedowns. Brooke-Popham's name is also written on the obverse of the first free endpaper. Vol.II has splitting to inner hinge which is unsightly rather than damaging to the integrity of the book/boards. It also has a large stain to the upper corner of the second free endpaper. Books weigh 2.3kg, additional postage fee may be required.
