At the bottom fore-corner of the same page is "Bound by Zaehnsdorf" also stamped. The pages of the book are absolutely fine and not foxed. The first and last three blank pages show very light foxing. The title page shows 4 or 6 very minor fox marks. This book came from the estate of Alice Sikola Assiante, the nurse of Rowena Dashwood Graves. Rowena was the wife of Chester Alan Arthur II, the son of the Chester Alan Arthur, the 21st president of the united states. Many of the books in this collection came from the President's library. Many came from the son's library. And others came from other family members. This book has no sign of previous ownership but was certainly bound by the best money could buy. A hint of wear right on the corners. No fading. No rubbing. No odor. Very likely the best copy of this book available anywhere.
