Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, mobilisé dès le 2 août 1914, il est chargé d'expertises médico-légale concernant les militaires en prévention du Conseil de guerre. Il est a…ttaché aux centres de neurologie de Château-Thierry d'abord, de Bar-le-Duc et de Châlons-sur-Marne ensuite. En 1918, il est médecin-chef du centre neuro-psychiatre d'Arcy-sur-Aube puis de celui de la 6ème région. Il n'est démobilisé que le 27 juillet 1919. Il publie de nombreux travaux, notamment sur les troubles nerveux et psychiques liés aux intoxications et aux troubles endocriniens et sur l'insuffisance surrénale dans les affections aiguës. Il publie des mémoires sur les angines, les oreillons et la scarlatine. Il écrit des communications sur les chorées, les syndromes épileptiques, l'encéphalite épidémique et la viscosité sanguine. En psychiatrie, il publie des travaux sur l'angoisse et sur la démence précoce. Il étudie les troubles vago-sympathiques. Dans ses travaux dermatologiques, il écrit sur la lumière de Wood, sur la lèpre et sur la pathologie générale et la syphilis. Il travaille sur les troubles fonctionnels de la peau et sur la physiopathologie des dermatoses, sur la pathologie générale de la syphilis et notamment sur le déterminisme morphologique des syphilides. En 1953, il publie une étude synthétique sur les dermatoses bulbeuses.
