An anthology of prominent women authors of the day including Gilman, Caroline Howard and Mary Hemple. Gift inscriptions R. M. Hays from her grandfather December 25, 1870.

Gift inscription, in pencil, found on front end-page. Pink/purple crayon marginalia on front end-page. Front gutter split at head of frontispiece & vignette title page. Toning and age-staining through text-block, mostly around plates. Off-setting on tissue guards. Binding intact. Please see photos and ask questions, if any, before purchasing. Reissue of The Forget-Me-Not for 1852, by Ida Maitland. New York: Cornish, Lamport & Co. with omission of pages 255-262 and a change of plates.
