Name and date on first flyleaf ("W.F. Storck 1913" - Wilhelm Friedrich Storck, art historian and later head of Kunsthalle Karlsruhe), else fine. Very rare catalogue of Ivan Morozov's collection of French art, which was nationalized by Lenin in 1918 and became one of the foundations of the State Museum of Western Art located in his mansion, before being integrated into the Pushkin Museum and the Hermitage in 1948. With masterpieces by Bonnard, Van Gogh, Vlaminck, Gauguin, Degas, Maurice Denis, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Cezanne and Matisse, among many others. The catalogue was published by Sergey Makovsky in the literary magazine Apollon (nr. 3 and 4, 1912), and has here been bound separately for a German art historian in the year after its publication. Very rare.
