Spine with four raised bandS and crimson red leather title label: "De La Nature Des Cometes". Later endpapers. Original free-endpapers. Printed title-page with previous owner's signature. Clear French text on lightly toned paper. pale marginal staining (heavier at final leaves/table), one of the prelims with a closed tear, some soiling and marks to title, front blank with spotting. A very good copy of this scarce publication ** "Gabriel Vendages de Malapeire (or Malepeyre), born in Toulouse on July 26, 1624 and died in the same city on May 5, 1702, is a French aristocrat, parliamentarian and poet .
