Dated East Hempfield [PA], 1850. Measures 10 1/2 x 6 3/4. Stains, separated in half. Manche (1800-1850), was a builder, farmer and minister in the Reformed Mennonite Church. He was the father of eleven children and lived in Lancaster County PA. The C.M. most likely refers to his wife Catherine Mance.
