J. de Vogel, editor of the series, Philosophical Texts and Studies, of which this is #23. Presented on the occassion of her retirement. Papers in English with a few German papers. Very good in very good dust jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square. Handsome former owner stamp on front endpaper. Vogel was a Dutch philosopher and theologian with a distinguished career. In 1947 she was appointed full professor in the history of ancient and medieval philosophy at Utrecht University . And then in 1968, she was appointed full professor of classical antiquity and ancient Christian philosophy.
