Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. this is a nice item, containing the first forty one issues of the quarterly Journal of the Manx Museum, bound into two half leather bound volumes, containing a ten year run of the magazine, well illustrated with photographs and drawings, packed with historical information on the island an…d its antiquities, the books are 10 inches tall approx. the bindings are in a poor state, the leather has perished and is very powdery, they will leave residue on your hands when handled and it would be advisable to replace the bindings to avoid any transference to the pages within internally the contents are generally in good condition with occasional handling and foxing marks. THE LEATHER BINDINGS WOULD BE BEST REMOVED AND REPLACED ELSE A NICE LONG RUN OF THIS SCARCE JOURNAL, this is a heavier item, overseas shipping costs will be higher than the basic standard quote.
