Paper. Condition: Good. First Edition. An Original Hand Written and Signed Letter by Polish Soprano Marcella Sembrich. Dated 1887. A long letter to a family who are looking after her brother in London and when they will be visiting. A full translation upon request. Prakseda Marcelina Kocha?ska 1858-1935, known professionally as Marcella Sembrich, was a Polish dramatic coloratura soprano. She is known for her extensive range of two and a half octaves, precise intonation, charm, portamento, vocal fluidity, and impressive coloratura. Her voice was regarded as flute-like, sweet, pure, light, and brilliant. She had an important international singing career, chiefly at the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House, in London.[ From a autograph book kept by A. P. Watt (1834-1914), founder of A. P. Watt & Son in 1875, the world's first literary agents. Size of letter is 180mm x 110mm. Folding centre crease. Age toned. Light gum marks to rear. Marking to edges. Condition is about good. More images can be taken upon request. Ref18423. Signed by Author(s).
