Measures 7 3/4" by 5 1/2" by 1 1/2". Dust jacket has some scuffing and marking, with some tattering a little tearing at edges and a chip missing from upper outer hinge corner, some discolouration to spine, but in reasonably good condition for age. Cream cloth binding with gilt decoration and lettering to front board and spine, some darkening to spine and the odd mark but overall quite clean. Upper page edges gilt, fore-edges and lower edges deckled and opened reasonably neatly though with some jagged edges. Lower edges very clean, upper and fore-edges a bit marked, some marking to gilt on upper edges. Blue cloth ribbon marked, a little frayed at edge but having largely retained its colour. Some slackness to binding, the odd bit of strain, but otherwise good. Some marking to endpapers and the odd bit of light foxing throughout but otherwise page surfaces generally clean, with no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for more information. xxii + 350 pp. n.
