Leather Bound. xii, 240p., hardbound in full calf; a small book, 7x4 inches, the hide is tree calf with back board restorable to very presentable condition, while front cover is scuffed with a branded area probably on the live cow. Front cover, most seriously, is detached or soon will be, and the first blank is detached. Spine is scuffed with split-lines along both joints, spine label of black leather remains legible, the six transverse gilt rulings are very rubbed. Textblock generally good but expect a few light creasings, some light dampstain, a few turned corner-tips; also, the textblock used to have tinted edges, specks of blue-grey adhere to the outermosts. Handleable, readable copy worthy of restortion. Wiki: b.England, sometimes known as 'the Quaker poet,' an 1818 collection protested the death penalty and severest incarceration.
